First Words is a family-centered early intervention program for children from birth, up to the age of five, who meet the criteria set out in the BC Early Hearing Program
Our Early Learning program is for children who are deaf and hard of hearing who are between the ages of three and five. This program is designed to promote your child’s: listening and spoken language skills as well as their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Careful consideration and adaptations are made based on the child’s listening and spoken language needs. This program is delivered five days a week (Monday to Friday) from September to the end of June.
Our Primary program for children who are deaf and hard of hearing is offered from Kindergarten to grade 3. This program is delivered five days a week (Monday-Friday) from September to the end of June
Our Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing support teachers and students (with hearing loss) in independent schools
Part of our Early Learning Program our CHSC childcare program is open to children with typical hearing and children with hearing loss.
Pick-ups and drop-offs can be a challenging, especially for busy families. The Morning Care Program runs from 8:00-9:00 am Mon-Fri and our Afternoon Care Program runs from 3:10 pm– 4:45 pm Mon-Wed & Fri (2:10 pm-4:45 pm Thurs).
